Past Conferences

Since its first edition in Ljubljana in 2007, the European Conference on Tribology (ECOTRIB) has brought together researchers and industry professionals from across Europe and beyond. Previous editions have been held in Pisa (2009), Vienna (2011), Turin (2013, jointly with the World Tribology Congress), Lugano (2015), Ljubljana (2017), Vienna (2019), Bari (2023), and Zurich (2025).

The 2021 edition was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequently held in Bari in 2023. In 2027, ECOTRIB returns to Ljubljana for the third time, marking 20 years since the inaugural conference.
